Acupuncture by Licensed TCM Practitioners
On the Charoen Krung riverside · near BTS Saphan Taksin · at Ramada Plaza, Bangkok
Joy Luck Clinic provides acupuncture delivered by licensed practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine, in the warm setting of a traditional Chinese apothecary. Visits are unhurried, and the approach is chosen for each person after an assessment.
What an acupuncture session involves
- Assessment first — pulse reading, tongue observation and a health history to understand the body's balance according to TCM.
- Needling — very fine, single-use, sterile needles. A mild heavy, warm or tingling sensation around the point is normal during treatment.
- Resting with the needles — usually 15–30 minutes; many people find it calming.
- Guidance — practical self-care suggestions and a follow-up plan where useful.

What people consult us about acupuncture for
Traditional Chinese Medicine uses acupuncture in the care of many concerns. People commonly ask about the following (read the TCM perspective on each). Whether acupuncture suits you depends on the assessment your practitioner makes, and responses differ from person to person. If you are already under medical care, acupuncture is complementary to that care rather than a replacement for it.

Frequently asked questions
Does acupuncture hurt?
The needles are much finer than injection needles; most people feel only a small tap or nothing at all. If you feel sharp pain, tell your practitioner and they will adjust.
How many sessions will I need?
There is no fixed number — it depends on the individual. Your practitioner suggests a plan after assessing you, without promising a specific result.
Are the needles reused?
No. We use single-use, sterile, disposable needles for every treatment.
Do I need an appointment?
Booking on LINE or by phone is recommended; walk-ins are welcome subject to availability.
Are there side effects or precautions?
Minor bruising, tenderness at the needle site or brief light-headedness can occur and usually settle within a day or two. Please tell your practitioner beforehand if you are pregnant, bruise or bleed easily, take blood thinners, or have a pacemaker.
